Expert Nurses & Malpractice Suits by Elizabeth Einhorn: Administrative Law

Administrative Florida Law

The Florida Board of Nursing is the Adminstrative Body that licenses, monitors, disciplines, educates and, when appropriate, rehabilitates its licensees to assure their fitness and competence in providing health care services for the people of Florida.

It was created by the Nurse Practice Act, which can be found on the Florida Statutes Page.

It is relevant to nursing expert testimony admissibility because it affects nurse licensing, disciplines, and education which play a role in determining an expert nurse's competency.

The Florida Center for Nursing is the Adminstrative Body that was created to monitor and increase the number of nurses in Florida. The center produces newsletters which can be relevant to Nurse Expert Witnesses.

Department of Health. Board of Nursing. 64B9.
