Administrative Law: Administrative Law Process

"The Executive Branch of Government."

Introduction

Understanding the regulatory procress is critical to researching Administrative Law. If the regulations surrounding your issue are in flux it falls on you the researcher to identify where in the regulatory process things are. This is most important when dealing with new or changed regulations as they go into effect 30 days after the final regulation is published in the Federal Register. However, it can take up to a year for the regulation to appear in the CFR due to the long publishing cycle for the CFR.
