General Information

The Southern District of Florida (SDFL) has long been one of the busiest Federal trial courts in this Country.  Stretching over 300 miles, from Fort Pierce in the north to the Nation’s southernmost point in Key West.

The Clerk’s Office in the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Fort Pierce divisions is open to the general public from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on regular business days. Customer service is also provided over the telephone from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in these divisions.  Due to limited staffing, these hours do not apply to the Key West Office. However, Clerk’s Office personnel will provide public assistance via telephone when the Key West Office is not staffed. Please contact the Miami Clerk’s Office for further information. The United States Probation Office in Key West is open during regular business hours.
