Overview

This Lib Guide is a research tool intended to provide useful data to help answer questions and address issues that may arise regarding advertisements, and other forms of commercial speech. Advertising is one of the hand full of areas that has been increasingly scrutinized and regulated in traditional platforms, but has more recently functioned as a trailblazer on the digital frontier of the internet. Online advertising has become the sole vehicle to enable the high-tech 'pioneer' entrepreneur to access financing.

This guide will provide information about both the laws governing the traditional older platforms, as well as the seemingly lawless wild west digital mediums as well.
