For the primary sources of my topic, I decided to use West’s Florida Statutes Annotated 2016 General Index to help locate my area of law. I first searched under “medical” for my general term for Medical Malpractice. Under “medical”, the index offered numerous options for my selection but I found the appropriate location under “Medical Malpractice” on page 863. The General Index then provided the statute numbers for “medical malpractice”, which were Fla. Stat. § 461.013 and § 766.101. I next searched for “paramedic” and “emergency medical technician” under the General Index. The index directed me to West Florida Statutes Annotated volume 14A part 3, Fla. Stat. § 401.23 . This area provided me with the general rules and regulations for paramedics.
