T Visa Checklist

Below are the filing requirements as found on Instructions for Form I-914. Explanation and further information for these requirements may also be found there.

Items needed to acquire a T Visa.

  1. Form I-914

  2. Evidence to establish eligibility for a T Visa. According to USCIS, to be eligible for a T Visa, a person must be or have been a victim of severe trafficking in persons, be physically present in the United States as a result of the trafficking, assist in the investigation or prosecution unless you are a minor or would suffer severe burden by assisting in the investigation, and demonstrate that removal from the United States will result in extreme hardship.

  3. Personal Statement outlining the details of the trafficking including names, dates, and crimes committed.

  4. Form I-914, Supplement B,

  5. Form I-914 Supplement A. This form is only required if applicant would like to apply for a derivative visa for an immediate family member. This may also be filed after the applicant receives a T Visa.

  6. Three recent photographs. Must be identical and taken within the past 30 days.

  7. No filing fee or Biometrics fee required.

     

      

     

U Visa

U Visa Checklist

 Below are the filing requirements as found on Instructions for Form I-918. Explanation and further information for these requirements may also be found there.

Items needed to acquire a U Visa.

    1. Form I-918

    2. Form I-918 Supplement B signed by the proper agency.

    3. Evidence to establish applicant as the victim of a qualifying crime.

    4. Evidence to establish applicant has suffered serious Physical or Mental Abuse.

    5. Evidence to establish applicant has information concerning the qualifying crime.

    6. Personal Statement outlining the details of the victimization including names, dates, and crimes committed.

    7. No filing fee or Biometrics fee required.

    8. Form I-192, needs to be filed if seeking a waiver for grounds of inadmissibility.
