Marijuana Law Research Guide

This research guide is intended as a map to statewide and federal resources. Marijuana is now legal in some form in over half of the states. In the previous election, marijuana was legalized recreationally by eight states including the District of Columbia which accounts for almost a quarter of the U.S. population. Across the country, the legal status of marijuana varies from strictly prohibited, to medicinal use only, or fully legal and subject to limits like alcohol and tobacco with a minimum age requirement to consume or purchase. See the video below for a brief introduction.
